Key facts

  • Under US rules, fragrance ingredients can be listed on a label simply as 'Fragrance', and the FDA warns that some products labelled 'unscented' may still contain fragrance ingredients.1
  • Ego Pharmaceuticals says every product in its QV Face range is free from fragrance, soap and colour; the brand is Australian owned and made in Australia.23
  • Aveeno's US site says the Calm + Restore cleansers and moisturisers are fragrance-free, and its fragrance filter shows 13 of the 15 products in the collection.4
  • Badger, a family-owned B Corp in New Hampshire, sells a USDA Certified Organic Unscented Balm made from olive oil and beeswax; stores outside the US must buy from its international distributors.56
  • Endless Pure offers an attractive margin up to 50%. Prices are available after registration.

Which fragrance-free brands should a pharmacy compare in 2026?

Five lines are worth a pharmacy buyer's time: our own PURE CALM, plus Vanicream (US), QV (Australia), Aveeno Calm + Restore (US) and Badger (US). They differ less on fragrance than on certification and, above all, on how a European pharmacy can actually buy them.

The table compares each brand on the same six points. "Fragrance-free options" means products the brand itself labels fragrance-free or unscented, checked on its own pages or a pharmacy retailer's listing.

How do the five fragrance-free brands compare, one by one?

Each profile below gives the fit, the hero products and the one watch-out a buyer should check before ordering.

Endless Pure PURE CALM (our line)

PURE CALM suits a pharmacy that wants a certified natural, fragrance-free option next to its dermocosmetic brands. The Light Moisturiser (red algae extract, African mango kernel butter, hyaluronic acid) and the Night Recovery Cream (aloe juice base, hydrolyzed red algae extract, mango seed butter, jojoba) are both fragrance-free and dermatologically tested. The hydrogel Eye Renewal Patches are fragrance-free too.

Every formula except the Eye Renewal Patches is ECOCERT COSMOS certified (Natural or Organic), and all are made in ISO 22716 certified GMP facilities; the buyer fact sheet covers production, and the range matrix lists every SKU.

Watch-out: PURE CALM is a compact face line (two creams and a cleanser), not a full sensitive-skin range with body care, and it is bought direct through a trade account rather than from your pharmacy wholesaler.

Three SKUs, all fragrance-free.

Vanicream

Vanicream suits a pharmacy that wants the most minimal, no-frills basics. The brand, made by Pharmaceutical Specialties, Inc., says its products are free of common chemical irritants found in ordinary skin care, including dyes and fragrance.7 Hero products include the Moisturizing Cream, the Gentle Facial Cleanser and the Daily Facial Moisturizer.7

Watch-out: its where-to-buy page lists US drug stores and US online retailers, and tells shoppers that US pharmacists can order through their drug wholesale distributor.8 For a European pharmacy, that makes it a formulation benchmark rather than a supplier.

QV (Ego Pharmaceuticals)

QV suits a pharmacy that wants a conventional, pharmacy-born sensitive face range. Ego Pharmaceuticals, Australian owned and making its products in Australia,3 says each QV Face product is free from soap, colour and fragrance and dermatologically tested.2 Hero products: QV Face Gentle Cleanser, a soap-free cleanser for dry or sensitive skin,2 and QV Face Ultra Calming Moisturiser, also free from lanolin and propylene glycol.11

Watch-out: the formulas are conventional. The Ultra Calming Moisturiser lists paraffinum liquidum, methylparaben and propylparaben.11 That suits customers who want fragrance-free and nothing else, not a certified natural bay. In Europe, Ego lists a UK regional office in Knutsford and serves Cyprus and Malta from its Dubai regional office.9

Aveeno Calm + Restore

Aveeno suits a pharmacy whose customers already know the brand from mass retail and ask for it by name. Aveeno is a Kenvue brand, and Kenvue reports from Summit, New Jersey.12 The Calm + Restore line is built on oat and feverfew; the brand says its cleansers and moisturisers are fragrance-free and the line is free from parabens and dyes.4 Hero products include the Oat Gel Moisturizer and the Gentle Nourishing Oat Face Cleanser.4

Watch-out: the brand's fragrance filter covers 13 of the 15 products in the collection, so check each SKU rather than assuming the whole line qualifies.4 Ranges and names also vary by country: the UK site, run by Kenvue UK Limited, is organised differently from the US one.10 Kenvue's pending acquisition by Kimberly-Clark is expected to close in the fourth quarter of 2026.12

Badger

Badger suits a pharmacy that wants certified organic, unscented body care and balms rather than a face routine. The company is a family-owned B Corp in New Hampshire.13 Its Unscented Balm is made from extra virgin olive oil and beeswax and is USDA Certified Organic; the unscented list also includes an Aloe Vera Gel, lip balms and zinc oxide mineral sunscreens.5

Watch-out: stores outside the US cannot open a direct wholesale account and must order from Badger's international distributors.6 The unscented list has no face cleanser or face moisturiser, and the balms contain beeswax, which matters to vegan shoppers. Check which unscented SKUs your national distributor carries, since sunscreen ranges must meet EU rules to be sold here.

How should a pharmacy choose a fragrance-free brand for its shelf?

Start from the gap on your shelf, then rule out any brand you cannot buy in your country. If you already carry a conventional fragrance-free dermocosmetic line, the open slot is a certified natural option.

Common mistake: trusting the front label. "Unscented" is not the same as fragrance-free; the FDA notes that some unscented products still contain masking fragrance ingredients,1 and US labels can group all fragrance materials under one word, "Fragrance".1 EU packs list named allergens individually above 0.001% in leave-on products,1415 so read the end of the INCI before a product earns a fragrance-free shelf marker. The full INCI checklist is in our sensitive-skin shelf guide.

Mix by role, not by brand. A fragrance-free block can combine a conventional fragrance-free cleanser with certified creams. Label each product's fragrance status on the shelf edge so staff answer in one sentence. To position a certified line next to your dermocosmetics without cannibalisation, see dermocosmetics vs certified organic; for the trade-offs of buying through a national distributor, see direct vs local distributor.

How do you build a fragrance-free block on the shelf?

Choose products from the INCI, not the front label, then lay them out in routine order so the block explains itself.

  1. Check three things in every INCI. "Parfum" or "Fragrance" means not fragrance-free, whatever the front says. Essential oils, listed by botanical name ending in "Oil", are fragrance materials even without Parfum. Named allergens such as linalool, limonene, geraniol or citronellol appear when above 0.001% in leave-on or 0.01% in rinse-off products.14
  2. Weigh leave-on against rinse-off. Fragrance in a cleanser that is rinsed off weighs less than in a night cream, but it still disqualifies the product from a fragrance-free marker.
  3. Lay out four or five products in routine order. At eye level, beside your dermocosmetic sensitive range, left to right: cleanser, day moisturiser, night cream, mineral SPF, eye care. One facing per product, two on the day moisturiser.
  4. Mark only what qualifies. Put a small "fragrance-free" marker under each product that passes the check and nothing under the rest. Customers learn the code in one glance.
  5. Give staff one factual sentence per product. "This one has no perfume" or "This one has perfume, here, and these named allergens", with the INCI turned towards the customer. Shelf cards stay cosmetic: texture, routine step, fragrance status.

With PURE CALM, the Light Moisturiser and Night Recovery Cream take the day and night slots, and the Eye Renewal Patches the eye-care slot. Counter scripts and the allergen labelling transition are covered in the sensitive-skin shelf guide.

Frequently asked questions

What are the best fragrance-free skincare brands for a pharmacy?

Vanicream, QV and Aveeno Calm + Restore are built around fragrance-free basics, Badger adds USDA certified organic unscented balms, and Endless Pure PURE CALM adds a COSMOS certified fragrance-free moisturiser and night cream. For a European pharmacy, the deciding factor is usually which ones you can buy reliably in your country.

Is 'unscented' the same as 'fragrance-free'?

No. The FDA notes that some products labelled 'unscented' may still contain fragrance ingredients used to mask the smell of other ingredients. Check the INCI for Parfum, Fragrance and essential oils whatever the front label says.

Can a European pharmacy buy Vanicream wholesale?

Vanicream's where-to-buy page lists only US drug stores and US online retailers, and says US pharmacists can order through their drug wholesale distributor. For a European pharmacy it works best as a formulation benchmark.

Which fragrance-free brands are certified organic or natural?

In this comparison, Endless Pure (ECOCERT COSMOS certified, Natural or Organic, except the Eye Renewal Patches) and Badger (USDA Certified Organic on products such as its Unscented Balm). QV, Vanicream and Aveeno are positioned on gentle, irritant-free formulas instead.

How do I check a skincare product is really fragrance-free?

Read the full INCI: no Parfum or Fragrance, no essential oils listed by botanical name, and no named fragrance allergens such as linalool or limonene. In the EU, those allergens are labelled individually above 0.001% in leave-on products.15
